STOERMFLOOD was founded in August 1997, inspired by the awesome Frisian nature and the lore, the mythology and the history of their fatherland as well as contemporary Pagan/Viking Metal bands like Helheim, Darkwoods My Betrothed or Kampfar and timeless classics as Bathory or Iron Maiden. Although the band created the entire concept, lyrics and musical drafts for eight songs, only one was laid down. In March 1999 they entered a studio in Hamburg and ;E Jiske Fan De Fijan was recorded, mixed and mastered on eight tracks and consequently released as a promotional tape a few days later. A few renowned labels showed interest in signing Stoermflood, but further recordings (an album was announced under the working title "Weromnimme Wat Uzes unfortunately never materialised before the band disbanded shortly after the turn of the millennium. The promotape was mastered and restored for vinyl by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in October 2020; the original visual art has been faithfully recreated and enhanced by S.atyrus.S. This 10" is limited to 187 handnumbered copies and comes with Inlay and Poster.
